| What qualifications do I need to apply? To apply for one of DBAM's AP Degree Programmes, you need to have relevant vocational training or an upper secondary education with English at Danish C-level (lower intermediate level). For the Hospitality and Tourism Management Programme you need Mathematics / Business economics at Danish C-level (lower intermediate level), and for the Marketing Management Programme you need Mathematics / Business economics at Danish B-level (intermediate level). before applying to check if you have the right qualifications. | Do I need to take a TOEFL / IELTS test to apply? Yes. All students applying from non-EU countries must attach a IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0. The test document must either be an original, or a copy no more than six months old. TOEFL tests are also accepted with equivalent level of proficiency. EU applicants must be able to document good grades in English.

Should my school-leaving certificate and other documents all be translated into English and who should do this?

Should I bring my original school-leaving certificates with me to Denmark? Yes, you must always bring the original school-leaving certificates and other documentation submitted with the application and show them on request upon arrival at DBAM. |
| When should I submit my application form? The application deadline is 1 June for students from EU/EEA countries and 1 April for students from non-EU countries. But the sooner you apply, the faster we can process your application. Applying before the deadline can also help if you forget to send a transcript or other documents with the application form. That way we will have time to contact you, and you will have time to fix the problem before the deadline. To the top |
| What will happen when I have submitted my application form? When we receive your application form, we will send you an e-mail or a letter of receipt. Then we will consider your application, paying attention to your academic abilities, your work experience and your personal motivation statement. If we find your entry qualifications sufficient, we will contact you in order to make a telephone or personal interview. We aim to contact you within twenty workdays of receiving your application. We prefer to contact you by e-mail, so it is important that you write your e-mail address very clearly on the application form and check your inbox on a regular basis. If your entry qualifications are not sufficient, you will receive an e-mail or a letter of rejection. To the top |
| What is the objective of the telephone or personal interview? A compulsory part of the application procedure is an interview with you in English by telephone or in person. The interview, which takes approximately 15 minutes, helps us to assess your English skills. You don’t have to speak English fluently, but you have to be able to understand lectures and take part in classroom discussions as well as to write papers in English. During the interview you should also tell us about your motivation for choosing The Danish Business Academy Minerva. |
| When will I know whether I have been admitted? Within five workdays after making the telephone or personal interview, we will send you an admission letter or a letter of rejection by e-mail or surface mail. |
What will happen after I have received the admission letter? |
| I have submitted my application form, but I haven’t heard from DBAM for a while. What should I do? You can always contact our International Liaison Officer Mr. Nikolaj Zethner on the telephone: +45 87 11 44 05 or via e-mail: to check the status of your application. |
| The application deadline for EU students is 1 June, but by that time I haven't got my school-leaving certificate yet. What should I do? You should send us a transcript of your most recent grades/marks. If this transcript does not include your grades in English and Mathematics / Business economics, you must also send us the most recent transcript showing your grades/marks in these subjects. When we receive your application form, we will follow the application procedure as described above. If we find your entry qualifications sufficient, you will receive a conditional admission letter. As soon as you receive your school-leaving certificate you must send a copy to us, and then your admission will be confirmed. To the top |
| Do I have to pay an administrative fee? Students from the EU/EEA countries are required to pay an administrative fee of EUR 200. The fee covers various handouts during studies, the use of a telephone when making projects, prints for all projects etc. The administrative fee must be paid no later than two weeks after receipt of the admission letter and is nonrefundable. |
| Do I have to pay a tuition fee? Students from the EU/EEA countries don’t pay any tuition fee. Due to Danish legislation all other students have to pay a tuition fee – at The Danish Business Academy Minerva this fee is EUR 8200 per year (full-fee students). Full-fee students must pay a deposit of 50 % of the tuition fee no later than two weeks after receipt of the admission letter. |
Do I have to pay a book fee? |
| I speak Danish and would like to apply for one of DBAM's educations taught in Danish. What should I do? You should apply via the Danish KOT-system (Den Koordinerede Tilmelding). The application form can be found on www.optagelse.dk. To the top |
| What will happen if I have been admitted but choose not to enroll after all? If you have been admitted to one of DBAM’s programmes but for some reason decide not to enroll, you should inform us about your decision at once. The administrative fee and book fee paid by EU/EEA students is not refundable. If you are a non-EU citizen your 50 pct. deposit and book fee will not be paid back to you unless you cannot enroll because your visa application was declined. Should this be the case your deposit and book fee will be refunded less EUR 200. |
